Job Description:

Government Sales and Business Development is a new position and allows for tremendous professional development. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to identify and develop new business opportunities for revenue growth and establish strong and effective relationships with business prospects/ industry contacts and other governmental organizations. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to communicate the strategies and execution plan associated with identifying new pursuits and closing on contract opportunities. Furthermore you will be responsible for increasing market share, and management and development of the sales and marketing strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Drive revenue growth by identifying key customer initiatives and finding current and proposed services to meet these needs; •Responsible for sales and related functions to obtain federal government contracts; •Develop and maintain strong relationships with key contacts within the government; •Maintain a process for lead generation and identification of target opportunities; •Maintain a broad knowledge of procurement practices and contract vehicles; •Maintain current government contracts and establish relationships with other government prime contractors; and •Ensure documentation of leads, meetings, follow-ups etc. are kept up to date and plan, manage and attend sector specific trade shows.
